Victorian Birth Certificate Reform:
From the 1st of May 2020 Victorians will be able to apply to change their record of sex under the new legislation. On this date detailed information, forms and fact sheets will be available on the Births Deaths and Marriages Victoria website.
Three fact sheets have been created for changes relating to birth certificates for young people under 18 years of Age:
- A fact sheet providing an overview of the reforms
- A fact sheet on applications for children
- Guidance for completing a supporting statement for a child’s change of record of sex
The following forms will be available for download on the Births Deaths and Marriages Victoria website from 1st May 2020, in both printable PDF and accessible Word versions. Applicants will have the option of completing either versions of the relevant form and lodging it, along with their supporting documents, via email or post to BDM. These forms are available here for your information only, and the latest versions should always be obtained from Births Deaths and Marriages Victoria.

Victorian Trans and Gender Diverse Community Health Services
The Victorian Government has funded an initiative to increase health services across Victoria for trans, gender diverse and non-binary people aged 18 and over. This state-wide service is operated by Your Community Health, Ballarat Community Health and Austin Health.

Rainbow Door is a free specialist LGBTIQA+ (Lesbian, Gay , Bisexual, Transgender and Gender Diverse, Intersex, Queer, Asexual, BrotherBoys, SisterGirls) helpline providing information, support, and referral to all LGBTIQA+ Victorians, their friends and family during the COVID-19 crisis and beyond. This service is run by Switchboard Victoria.
